Nom Nom Nom

He likes to eat. Mainly he likes to nom on my leg which indicates to me that he’s hungry. He would rather nom on my toe or something than eat a cheerio. Bleagh. Luckily my toes were clean after a shower.

He’s one weird little dude. I think he belongs to T and I for sure.

Currently he is nomming on my leg to use it as leverage to lift himself up. He’s looking me with his cute smiley eyes hoping i would poh poh him. He thinks blowing bubbles is going to do the trick. i think it is.

My 4 sum gave the P-ster this cool little train set and so I finally had a chance to put it together for him to show him how the train moves and so forth.

He watched it for a mere thirty seconds and was completely mesmerized. He proceeded to then destroy the train tracks to nom on it and like the sound of the plastic hitting the floor instead.

On a developmental note, he is sitting for longer periods of time and he can now push himself back up to sitting position if he’s leaning forward. There is still no crawling but he is getting to the point where he can push himself to the standing position.

I’m not too worried about the fact that he’s not crawling or walking yet. One day he’ll just pick it up and then I have to chase him down. That will be my exercise!

He’s still having trouble falling asleep on his own and adhering to the 2 naps. I’m really trying hard to keep him on a routine but I think the move is still raw and new to him so I have a feeling it will take more time for him and for us to adjust.

It’s getting really difficult for me to have a a comfortable sleep. I sleep on my side but I feel as though I’m just squishing the baby at times and then my back and side ache like mad by the time I get up. The most comfortable position that I like to sleep in is an L-shape along some pillows or just sitting up and leaning on pillows feels comfortable. Whoever said that pregnancy is bliss is on something.

My imagination is also working overtime because I have these vivid dreams. Just last night I had a dream that I was working for a non-profit place for a kids camp and there were all these attractive young blond people working there and I was finding out their salary and it was a lot higher than my own job. My office had a cashier in it that sold magazines. It was the most unusual office setting I have seen. I also had to climb these structures which looked like large lego pieces to get to my instructions or work for the day.

Many times I have nightmares or bad dreams which I don’t care to write about. At least it’s just a dream though.

Reading about the epidural and labour pain is not fun. Listening to my SIL and friends discuss it does not help me much in terms of calming the nerves. At least I can now get through reading a description of how it’s inserted and how it works now without a queasy feeling. The c-section is a different story all together.

My new job at the university is good though at distracting me from the aches and pains I currently have which is great. I’m soon going to be doing a lot of out of town travel and visiting high schools and attending to college fairs so I hope I have enough energy to manage it. GPS will become my best friend. She may be bossy and all knowing but at least I’ll get to where I need to. She just knows what’s best for me.

It was weird to go to church by myself on Sunday. I really miss T and also being in youthgroup. I had a few of the girls again assault my belly and the baby. I think V really likes to yell at the baby for whatever reason. Bubbles just moved as far inside my belly as possible as they proceeded to slap my belly and touch my belly button which felt so weird! I’m not surprised the baby wouldn’t move for them as Bubbles was probably hoping they go away if he/she was completely still.

We ended up going out for lunch at the usual congee place as it was the last Sunday before Jabez was off to uni again. It was nice seeing everyone again but it’s bittersweet as I’m not longer helping out with youth. Juders kept obsessing about Ben Barnes and was trying to convince all of us that he should be on everyone’s top 10 “hot list” — including the boys.

Steven cracked me up because when I shared that you can actually see the baby move — he proceeded to stare at my belly and until I manage to break his stare by saying that Bubbles wasn’t moving right now but I will let him know when that happens! It’s amusing as I know he’s probably fascinated on a science basis rather than anything else.

I always enjoy the community time after church. It’s still not the same though when T’s not there. Boo.

Congrats to H&W and C&M on their baby boy and baby girl! Yay. Babies, babies everywhere!

Update: Ooh! I’m just feeling my belly and I felt a hard spot which I think is a part of Bubbles body part but I just don’t know which part. The bum? elbow? That was way cool!
